Intimate Milwaukee Winter Wedding | Elopement and Intimate Wedding Photographer

Dani and Christian’s intimate Milwaukee wedding was exactly what a winter wedding should be. Every detail of their day was intentional and just, exactly them. From the Tik Tok dance that they recorded after Dani put her dress on to Dani and Christian joking around and dancing during their couples portraits in the park, each moment perfectly reflected their goofy, loving relationship.

I first met Dani and Christian in person when we met up to go location scouting after their initial venue fell through. Most couples would have completely lost it if their venue pulled out just a month before their wedding but they took it in stride, poking fun at their situation and finding joy in the change. Dani and Christian decided to have their ceremony at the local church and take photos in a park not far away. 

On the day of the wedding, I showed up to find out that their officiant had gotten stranded in Texas but, again, Christian and Dani were super chill and called in a family friend to perform the ceremony. One of the truly beautiful things about this day was how they were able to let all of the missteps and silly minutiae slide away and focus on what really mattered: their relationship. Just before the ceremony, both Dani and Christian read letters that the other had written them and, let me tell you, it was beautiful. I felt so privileged to be able to take photos of this incredibly intimate moment that they each had. Dani cried, Christian cried, and yes, I may have shed a few tears myself.

During the ceremony, witnessed by just close friends and family, Dani and Christian could barely take their hands off of each other, in the most adorable way. Dani kept rubbing Christian’s back and Christian held Dani’s hand every change that he got. 

After the ceremony, we all packed into a few cars and drove to a local park for some pictures. Even though it was cold, we had a blast playing around in the snow.
