Rocky Mountain Elopement
This sunset Rocky Mountain elopement was an absolute dream. I loved every single thing about this day from my amazing couple to the incredible mountain views.
The day started off on a brilliant note when I hopped in the car with my partner-in-crime for the day, Carissa. I have been dreaming of getting to partner up with my good friend (who happens to have photographed my wedding) for months. After we picked up Megan and Sam, we spent a few hours winding our way through the mountains, telling stories about our travel, joking around about our pets, and truly getting to know each other.
Once we reached the park and made it to our mountainside spot, we helped Megan get into her unbelievable Daci Gowns boho dress. This is always one of my favorite parts of an adventurous elopement. Putting on a designer gown in the wild takes quite a bit of ingenuity and creative thought. But, with the help of a few blankets, a car door, and Sam’s jacket, Megan was ready to go.
Every moment of this shoot was filled with love, stolen kisses, words of endearment, and fun. Sam was so attentive to Megan as we hiked along the ridge; constantly holding her dress, steadying her, and telling her how absolutely stunning she looked. It was a privilege to get to capture every authentic moment between these two.
Once the sun had set, we climbed back into our car and started heading back down the mountain. On the way back home, we decided to celebrate the wonderful day with some McDonalds and topped it off with a spontaneous stop for pie (because who can pass up a good pie shop?). Overall, it was a pretty perfect day.
